I managed to pick up a pair of white Arrospok pretty cheaply the other day, thing is, they have not been loved, look like they have been left in the rain and black is showing through bits. I'm probably just going to use the front one for now but if I want to respray white, what's a good waterproof paint to use? I don't really have the best craft skills so will I be f@@cking it up even attempting this ? i.e. I'd hate this to look like the sort of halfords home bike respray you see and cringe at, and should I just leave them bashed? If so is a shame really, because I want the new build to look bling for a week at least. Your words of wisdom are welcome.

How much is a powder coat for this sort of thing? and where does such alchemy you speak of take place ? would the cost out weigh buying new or am I wrong? Questions. questions.

Unfortunately you can't powderoat them as they are carbon fibre - unless you are prepared to send them up North pay a little more and sign a waver to say you are aware that they might be damaged in the baking process.

Just spray them (any good auto-paint) and then clear coat them.

they aren't carbon fibre, they're far too heavy! They're 'composite' (plastic).

plastic is non-conductive so no powder coat for you.

never mind the baking would kill it dead.

Throw them out! Haha just kidding. Use the other one for a big wheel. Yeah, someone should make a hipster big wheel. They are fixed wheels too!

Okay thanks asm I alwyas like to hang in there, waiting for the sensible answer to prople itself forth. 3 coats NP. Dogs Bo**ox, I may sell that white rear cheapish if you're interested, add to build, and possibly double the price cover the cost of the frame in one swoop. Anyway I'll take a snap and post on the forum for the crew to have first dibs. Non profit is fine, pass on the spok vibes, summers-a-coming and bikes need to be blinged a little if we're ever going to confirm the unwritten and out do Tokyo in the style stakes. Happy Easter.

I merely agreed with wheels - now i'm sure we're all aware that he is a funny man, but his post was actually serious! :)

Can I have the rear as payment for my advice? :P Bagsy first dibs!!

As for arrospok, there's no guarantee I'll get it. Cyclesgoff may have sold it already, or he may want more than fiddy dorrah, in which case I'll tell him to get in touch with you henry. :)
